With support from The Simmons Foundation, the Center for Disaster Philanthropy hosted 10 biweekly briefings for funders seeking to share information or learn of opportunities as the state of Texas continues its recovery from Hurricane Harvey.
Hurricane Harvey Recovery: Biweekly Funder Briefings
These briefings were designed to be a valuable method of educating local and national grantmakers on best practices in disaster philanthropy, as well as informing the audience of new funds being established. This information exchange was critical for encouraging collaboration, and ensuring there are no major gaps in funding the needs of affected communities.
Check out the recording from the final webinar, featuring information about the Measuring the State of Disaster Philanthropy report and mapping platform.
Written summaries of each meeting and an archived recording are available in The Simmons Foundation Hurricane Harvey Issue Area.
