Donor Benefits

Partnering with the Center for Disaster Philanthropy offers unique benefits for donors:

Nimble and Innovative Disaster Grantmaking Solutions

Whether you are an individual philanthropist, foundation or corporation, the Center for Disaster Philanthropy takes the guesswork out of your disaster grantmaking.  We offer “one-stop shopping” through a range of  services like philanthropic advice, educational opportunities, collaboration with other philanthropists, and full-service management and administration of your giving portfolio.  We simplify your giving options and help you quickly decide how to maximize the impact your gift will have on communities affected by disasters across the country and around the world.

Member-only access to disaster experts and other philanthropists

Your donation will give you membership to our online Community of Practice, where you will have exclusive access to leading disaster experts and other philanthropists to ask questions or discuss issues about disaster grants. There also will be webinars, teleconferences, and research reports that are only available to members.

Funding Worth Following recognition

In addition to being recognized as a donor to CDP online and in press releases listing founding donors, we will highlight your generosity in the Funding Worth Following section of our website, an area featuring  innovative disaster grantmakers.

 Donor-only site visits

As appropriate, the Center for Disaster Philanthropy can coordinate site visits to disaster-affected areas. Visiting donors will have a chance to meet beneficiaries of their support and see first-hand their funding in action.
