Center for Disaster Philanthropy
2022 Support Disaster Recovery
We have an exciting matching gift opportunity that can double your impact through Dec. 31, 2022!
All eligible gifts made on or before Dec. 31, 2022, will be matched dollar-for-dollar until support runs out. Your year-end gift will ensure that communities in need of critical medium- and long-term philanthropic support will have the resources they need to recover from the next disaster.
To make a gift by mail, please send a check or money order to:
Development Team
Center for Disaster Philanthropy
One Thomas Circle, NW, Suite 700
Washington, DC 20005
Note: For it to qualify as a 2022 gift, please make sure it is postmarked by the USPS no later than 12/31/2022.
International donors: If a field in the address block does not apply to you, please type or select “N/A”
*Per our matching gift donor’s request, we will not be matching planned gifts, stock gifts, gifts of cryptocurrency, gifts received as part of a company match program, third-party gifts (i.e. AmazonSmile, Benevity, PayPal Giving, etc.), or gifts of retirement assets. We will honor gifts received from donor-advised funds and gifts received as wire transfers with the match until funds run out. A gift match will not exceed $75,000 per donor. If you already made a gift in 2022, we will only be able to match your gift if you did not give a gift in 2021. If you made a gift in 2021, we will be able to match your gift this year if your gift is greater than the amount you gave last year. If your last gift was prior to 2021, we will be able to match your entire gift.
For gifts of stock: All sales transactions must be completed by Dec. 31 for the 2022 tax year, and investors cannot repurchase stock sold for a loss within 30 days. We recommend initiating gifts of stock or mutual funds as soon as possible to ensure completion. Please reach out to your tax advisor for additional assistance.
If you have any questions regarding your gift or if there is anything we can do to help facilitate gifts of stock, qualified charitable distributions, planned gifts, and more, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Contact us directly with any questions related to your giving experience.
