The ongoing Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo is the second largest and second deadliest outbreak in history. And the number of cases is increasing. As of May 14, the World Health Organization has reported 1,739 confirmed and probable cases with 1,147 deaths.

On Thursday, May 16, 2019, the Center for Disaster Philanthropy (CDP), with generous support from The UPS Foundation, hosted a webinar, “Ebola: Responding to a Growing Crisis.” The webinar was part of our new series focusing on raising awareness of and responding to global disasters. Speakers shared information about the current needs on the ground and discussed ideas for how philanthropy can respond to this urgent crisis.
