Kimberlee Maphis Early

Senior Associate

Kimberlee Maphis Early joined the Center for Disaster Philanthropy in 2013 as a senior associate. A member of the consulting services team, she provides clients with research, strategic analyses, curriculum development and meeting facilitation.  

Her favorite assignments are working with philanthropic collaboratives and assisting community leaders and emergency management professionals in building relationships that ease the hard slog of disaster recovery.She began her work in the arena of disaster preparedness and response at the invitation of the Jessie Ball duPont Fund, and in 2012, the duPont Fund published her study, Creating Order from Chaos:  Roles for Philanthropy in Disaster Planning and Response, based on the experience of funders responding to the April 2011 chain of tornadoes in Alabama.   

At home in Nashville, she reacts quickly to weather alerts and counts down the cicadas’ return.
