Director, Finance and Operations

Chris joined the Center for Disaster Philanthropy in 2024 to help lead and scale the accounting, financial and operational affairs of the organization during a period of significant growth.

With more than 15 years of senior management experience in the nonprofit sector, Chris brings wisdom, passion, pragmatism and strategic focus to his work. He possesses expertise in financial management, budgeting and reporting, audits, treasury, internal controls and compliance, team development, technology, IT strategy, HR, and operations. 

An additional 20 years of for-profit business and entrepreneurial experience provide Chris with a unique talent to uncover and map complex business relationships and translate them into meaningful fiscal and operational processes that support organizations during periods of growth, change and transformation.

Chris is a native of Southern California and studied accounting in Fresno. He lives in the Coachella Valley, two hours south of Los Angeles. He enjoys a simple life that includes hiking, biking, whole-food plant-based cooking, reading, painting, trading securities, computers and a few other nerdy types of pursuits.
