Sarah Lackritz

Vice President, Brand and Storytelling

Sarah Lackritz (she/her) is the vice president of brand and storytelling at the Center for Disaster Philanthropy (CDP), where she leads strategic communications and brand positioning efforts to enhance CDP’s visibility and impact in building disaster resilience globally.

With nearly 20 years of experience in integrated marketing and communications, Sarah brings a wealth of expertise in brand reputation management, financial communications and crisis mitigation.

Before joining CDP, she was vice president of marketing and communications at Equal Justice Works, a nonprofit organization committed to mobilizing public service lawyers and advocates committed to fulfilling our nation’s promise of equal justice for all. While there, she drove a major brand refresh to more effectively communicate the impact and value of the organization. She also launched and helped lead the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Coalition, a group of more than 100 organizations committed to supporting PSLF, the only educational debt forgiveness program specifically for public service professionals.

Sarah’s previous experience includes roles at Burson, a leading global strategic communications firm, where she provided counsel to high-profile clients such as Ford Motor Company, Johnson & Johnson, and Discover Financial Services. Her work involved crafting communication strategies during key events and crises that strengthened brand trust and reputation. She also spent several years providing communications and investor relations counsel during major financial events such as mergers and acquisitions and IPOs while at Brunswick Group.

Sarah holds an MBA from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business and graduated cum laude from Brandeis University with a B.A. in Linguistic Anthropology. Additionally, Sarah is an adjunct faculty member at Georgetown University’s School of Continuing Studies in the Integrated Marketing and Communications program.
