Catholic Relief Services
CRS received a $200,000 grant to support earthquake-affected households in the dioceses of Nippes and Cayes.  The grant will identify 600 of the most at-risk earthquake-affected families to restore and protect their lost livelihoods through a combination of livelihood training and cash transfers while also ensuring that households are sensitized on good hygiene practices particularly relevant to the Covid-19 pandemic.

AVSI
AVSI received a $160,000 grant to mitigate the harmful effects of the Aug. 14 earthquake on children by providing physical and psychosocial protection, promoting child development through informal education programs, and reactivating child protection networks. After 12 months, AVSI expects to have rendered eight fully functional child-friendly spaces with programming serving at least 800 children and their families, and to have transitioned leadership of the spaces to local entities to run on a sustainable basis.

Haiti Development Institute
Through the Boston Foundation, Haiti Development Institute received a grant of $250,000 to work directly with Haitian organizations and local leaders supporting affected communities. This project aims to help earthquake survivors rebuild their lives by repairing homes and community infrastructure and restoring livelihoods by replacing income-generating assets and repairing agricultural infrastructure. The project will also work with these local organizations, leaders and communities to increase their capacity to plan and manage disaster risk.
