A Passion for Helping Others

The Salvation Army is actively working to help families affected by 2017 Spring flooding in Missouri. The volunteer team featured here travelled to North St. Louis County from Ohio on a mission to serve the survivors of the flood. The team worked to repair the roof and fix internal damage. Their tireless dedication set an example of why individuals helping others is a passion not a duty.

A case manager assessed work in process. Her evaluation before, during, and after the work has been completed on any project is vital to understanding if the case is progressing or if it’s stagnant.

The Salvation Army received a grant from the Midwest Early Recovery Fund to support reconstruction management and volunteer coordination in response to flooding in Missouri. They continue to work in Missouri to help families return to homes that are safe, secure and sanitary. Many cases have been completed but, there is still more work to do and many survivors that need help to return to a level of normalcy.
