Building Parent Engagement
Seeley Lake Community Foundation received a grant from the Midwest Early Recovery Fund to fund programs for children and their caregivers, and age-appropriate mental health services for children in response to wildfires in Montana.
They recently hosted an event for parents. The program, called Pastries for Parents, invited parents into the school for engagement and relationships building. More than 40 adults attended the event. Seeley Lake Community Foundation hopes that offering these parental engagements will help parents be more comfortable accessing resources and assistance when future disasters arise.
