Goodies for Grandparents
Seeley Lake Community Foundation received a grant from the Midwest Early Recovery Fund to fund programs for children and their caregivers, and age-appropriate mental health services for children in response to wildfires in Montana.
The photo above is from an event they recently hosted called “Goodies for Grandparents.” The goal of the event was to build relationships with grandparents in attempt to create a more resilient community. More than 40 adults attended the event. Seeley Lake Community Foundation hopes that offering these events will build a bridge between parents, grandparents and the school to help caregivers be more comfortable accessing resources and assistance as they navigate the lasting effects of the fire.
