State of Disaster Philanthropy

Beginning in 2014, the Center for Disaster Philanthropy (CDP) and Candid have partnered to produce Measuring the State of Disaster Philanthropy.

The purpose of this effort is to increase understanding of disaster philanthropy giving and practices, and contribute to informing the strategies and actions of funders.

The latest report, Measuring the State of Disaster Philanthropy 2024, provides key insights into philanthropic disaster giving. Focused on 2022, the data shows that funders provided $1.7 billion in total giving for disasters that year.
