CDP is committed to supporting the equitable recovery of communities affected by disasters through our grantmaking.

To do this successfully, we need to know what we can do better to help our grantee partners achieve their missions and effectively serve their communities.

In 2022, we teamed up with the Center for Effective Philanthropy for our first Grantee Perception Report (GPR). Our goal was to solicit candid and critical feedback from nearly 300 grantee partners to help us answer the question: How can we be a better funder?

Honest feedback from grantee partners

“With 181 survey responses received, a 71% response rate, the report has given us much to reflect on, celebrate and learn. ”

Read We wanted to know: How can we be a better grantmaker? by Patty McIlreavy and Regine Webster to learn about what we heard and how we’ve started using the findings to inform our work.

We want to hear from you

We don’t want to wait until our next GPR to receive timely feedback from our grantee partners to help us improve. Tell us how we’re doing by sending an email to sally.ray@disasterphilanthropy.org.
